Everybody's Free to Wear Sunsceen

I spent the first week of the new year laying on the beach in sunny Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. In that kind of heat and sun, an excellent sunscreen was key. I brought along an SPF 30 Banana Boat, but I found that whenever I would put it on my face, I would have bumps and really rough skin.

Usually I don't use sunscreens that my Mom uses (even though I probably should!) because they have such a high SPF protection, and I like to use a 15 or 30 to get a good tan. But, because of these awful bumps I tried out her sunscreen she brought with her this time: La Roche-Posay's Anthelios Lait SPF 45.

This sunscreen was AMAZING. No joke. It wasn't greasy at all; and when it was on your face, you never felt like you were wearing anything! The even better part was when you were in the ocean or pool, the water didn't make it rub off or cause it to run into your eyes and burn like most sunscreens. It's also preservative free, and is really great for sensitive skin.

I didn't get any bumps on my face, and I still got a nice tan. For anyone headed south for Reading Week, I highly recommend this product!

Cost: Approx. $25 at Shoppers Drug Mart
